Baby Steps

First off, a shout out to my BFF K-dub.  She is awesome and a long visit with her last night has my mind set back on the right track.  We talked about how hard it is to stick with rigid/strict diet and exercise plans and how easy it is to fall into the failure trap.  We talked about expecting a lot of ourselves, but allowing ourselves to have just enough wiggle room to make things liveable.  We talked about the importance of not berating ourselves when something doesn’t go just as planned.  Mainly, she reminded me that I am loved, and valued, and that I matter.  Thanks friend!

It helped SO MUCH!

So, rather than report about all of the exercise I haven’t been doing, etc. I want to tell you about the one thing I’ve done right this week.  I’ve planned my lunches and I’ve stuck to them.  I know.  It doesn’t seem like a big deal, really, does it?  But it is!  I’ve had a good-for-me, healthful lunch every day this week.  Not to mention that I haven’t been spending money I don’t have on food that doesn’t help me get to where I want to be.

And with that I’ll just say, “I’m Awesome!”
